I don’t know what it is about a Poppy, but when I paint them I always feel like they encompass feelings of boldness and drama.
Not the kind of drama that weighs me down, or makes me feel sad…more like the dramatic feeling I get after putting on the right shade of red lipstick with a special outfit that makes me feel AMAZING!
That feeling of drama isn’t really something I can channel everyday…honestly…it’s a lot of work, HA! But when I do have the energy, or the occasion to embrace my “poppy side” I do it unapologetically.
